In 2020, Heartland Home Improvements was subcontracted by a local Harrisonburg builder and contractor to install custom wood columns, porch soffits and other exterior finishes to this new construction home in the Crossroads Farm subdivision.

Here’s what our skilled team did for the new build’s exterior finishes:

First, We Consulted With The Builder & Client:

Contractors have repeatedly chosen our installation services for their new builds because they appreciate our meticulous attention to detail and consistently high-quality installation standards. To get started on this project, we met with their team to learn the project’s goals and timeline.

Then, We Fabricated Custom Columns At Our Millwork Shop:

We turned to our in-house millwork shop, River Valley Customs, to fabricate the custom wood columns for the client. Making custom wood columns starts with precise designs and selecting the right wood. Our craftsmen then cut, shaped and joined the wood together. We incorporated lock miters for the custom columns to enhance durability and create more robust, seamless corners. Our team then designed the soffits and brought the custom pieces to the construction site.

Finally, We Installed All The Exterior Finishes:

Our commitment to quality continued through the final installation phase of this project. The client chose composite wood trim over traditional wood trim because it is durable, low-maintenance and moisture-resistant. Our team installed the columns, soffits and trim on-site to finish the project.
