A Year-Round Sunroom Replaces A Screened-In Porch.
For the McDorman Project, Heartland converted an existing 12’x13′ screened-in porch to a sunroom. Using a screened in porch as a bonus room available part of the year offers great entertainment space and a great place for downtime. in the same way, remodeling the porch to a 4-season sunroom allows the homeowners to maximize their living space. Taking this occasional space to a conditioned, dirt- and pollen-free year-round living space took around 2 weeks to complete.
Industry-Leading Flooring, Windows, and Doors Add Value.
When considering materials, we always look at the intended uses, the elements, and the options that are most consistent with the durability expectations and budget of the customer. For this project, plants and family floor-traffic were priorities. Because of this, we used Coretec Plus laminate flooring for a waterproof floor that is great for plants. Next, we chose Polaris entry doors as well as new construction windows to maximize energy efficiency.
We Increased Overall Home Utility By Taking An Occasional Space To An Everyday Staple.
The new sunroom added value to the home and made the room more useful as a year-round living space. Additionally, we included HVAC and high-quality windows and doors in our design. This provided this family with a comfortable environment they can enjoy every day. Furthermore, using high quality materials and solid construction principles means the new sunroom will maintain its integrity for years to come. Like a solid construction, family fun brings ease and enjoyment to life.
What Remodel? The Addition Looks Like It Has Always Been There.
A goal at Heartland is to produce a remodel that looks like it was meant to be. In light of this, we were able with this project to create an addition that complemented the home without making it look like a new addition. The space was reinvented for the family to use without sacrificing the integrity of the home’s aesthetic. Adding livable square footage increases the home’s value and utility.
